AI Memory

Also called: Long-term memory, Cross-session memory, Saved preferences

Store preferences and facts that should survive across chats and inject them next time, so you don't repeat yourself every session.

In detail

Normal chat context dies with the session. Memory keeps items like "we use pnpm," "don't touch eslint config," or "our component library is X" and injects them later.

It differs from a Rules File: rules are plaintext in the repo, reviewable in Git; product Memory often lives on the account—handy, but easier to go stale or wrong. Prefer rules files for anything that belongs in the repository.

Review memories periodically; keep secrets out; contradictory memories make behavior drift.
