Monorepo

Also called: Single repo multi-package, pnpm workspace, Multi-package repo

Keep multiple apps and shared packages in one Git repo, managed with workspaces so versions and reuse stay aligned.

In detail

A monorepo isn't "every company project in one repo." It intentionally colocates related web, server, and shared packages so types and components don't drift across repositories.

Common tools: pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, Nx. Upside: change shared and typecheck apps immediately. Cost: CI, permissions, and clone size need design.

Versus many single-service repos, it fits multi-surface products (like this repo's web/server/extension).
