Claude Code

Claude Code is a coding agent that uses the terminal (command line) as its main interface. After you start it in your project folder, you describe tasks in plain language, and it finds the relevant files, edits code, runs tests or build commands, and shows you what it's doing. It can also work alongside some editors.

It reads the CLAUDE.md file in your project as project-level rules and background. It also supports connecting external tools through Model Context Protocol (MCP). Before editing files or running commands, it usually asks you to confirm.

The terminal may feel a bit unfamiliar to beginners, but using it is basically just chatting. Things to watch: it can work across your whole project folder, so give tasks a clear scope. Keep an eye on the commands it wants to run. Commit with Git before big changes.
