JavaScript

The programming language that makes web pages "come alive." It handles interaction logic like responding to clicks, fetching data, and updating the page.

In detail

If HTML is the frame and CSS is the interior design, JavaScript is the wiring and the switches. Opening a dialog when you click a button, submitting a form, pulling data from the server, refreshing a list based on that data: that's all JavaScript.

It has nothing to do with Java; the names are just similar. Frameworks like React and Vue are themselves written in JavaScript, and TypeScript adds type checking on top of it.

With Node.js, JavaScript can also run on your computer and on servers, which is why tools like npm and the dev server depend on it too. When a page breaks, the error message usually shows up in the browser console. Sending the exact error text to the AI is the most useful thing you can do.
