Treat the AI as a pairing partner: one of you drives writing and trying, the other (or the AI) questions, adds tests, and watches risk—instead of tossing the whole job to the model.

Classic pairing is two people, one machine. AI pairing means you and the model trade driver/navigator roles. You write the critical path and ask the AI for tests and edge cases—or let it draft while you own Diff review and product judgment.

Unlike pure Vibe Coding, you keep understanding and veto power, not only page-level vibes. It helps when learning, protecting quality, or aligning before an Agent makes a large change.

Good pairing is rhythmic: small commits, a clear current goal, and asking "why" on suggestions instead of Tabbing forever.
